FREEDOM™ is a MATTE fabric. Styled in the tradition of the Academic Costume Code and Ceremony guide. University and College apparel is predominantly black in color. 

Hoods are custom made. The Doctor Hood will have a five inch wide band of colored velvet denoting your field of study. Although there are some exceptions, PhDs wear Blue, the color of Philosophy, not the specific area of research or study.
