Comfortably fits most head sizes from 6 3/4 to 7 3/4 with a velvet covered elastic band in the back.

ONLY terminal (Doctorate level) degree candidates and holders may wear a velvet tam...or a regular mortarboard cap...but the tams are cool...and comfortable. 

Doctors, especially PhDs, typically wear Black or Old Gold tassels, but you should check with your institution before ordering to be sure.
